Research Interests and Expertise

  • Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS)
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS)
  • Development and validation of new methods for authenticating food and beverages using elemental, isotopic, and molecular fingerprinting
  • Determination of elemental profiles using flame atomic absorption spectroscopy (FAAS) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)
  • Cryogenic extraction of water from food matrices for the analysis of hydrogen (2H/1H) and oxygen (18O/16O) isotope ratios
