Research Interests and Expertise

  • Vibrational Spectroscopy, Physical Chemistry, Biomolecular Physics
  • Molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) deposition of semiconductor, metallic and molecular films on various substrates in ultra-high vacuum (UHV)
  • Characterization of the deposited films using scanning tunneling microscopy and atomic force microscopy techniques
  • Fabrication of micro/nanometric devices using nanoimprint lithography (NIL)
  • Detection and discrimination of microorganisms using Raman and Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopies
  • Spectroscopic characterization of biomolecular systems
