ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Week 2026

28 September – 2 October 2026, Cluj-Napoca, Romania

INCDTIM Cluj-Napoca hosts the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Week (ATLAS TileCal Collaboration Week), an international scientific meeting dedicated to the ATLAS Experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) – CERN, Geneva.

The event brings together physicists and engineers from 17 countries involved in the development, operation and upgrade of the TileCal hadronic calorimeter. The meeting provides a forum for presenting and discussing the latest results and research and development activities related to the ATLAS TileCal detector.

Main topics:

  • new detector concepts for the Future Circular Collider (FCC);
  • results from experimental test-beam campaigns;
  • integration and implementation of the TileCal upgrade programme;
  • data preparation and analysis and detector performance evaluation;
  • hardware and operational aspects, as well as the coordination of scientific and institutional activities.

This edition has particular significance as it is the last collaboration meeting to be held outside CERN before the implementation phase of the High-Luminosity LHC upgrade programme.

The 2026 IEEE International Conference on Advanced Scientific Computing

ICASC 2026, 21-23 October 2026

The ICASC 2026 conference continues the series of the former 16 annual events of the Romanian LCG Federation (RO-LCG) on “Grid, Cloud and High-Performance Computing in Science“ (2007-2022). Its title has been changed and the topics have been expanded to offer a more comprehensive coverage of the current evolution in scientific computing.
