NanoPhotoniX is an interdisciplinary research group working at the intersection of photonics, nanoscience, and computational modeling. We investigate how coherent light interacts with matter across a wide range of scales and complexity – from the quantum dynamics of molecules and the ultrafast response of hybrid nanomaterials, to the collective optical resonances of nanostructured films and devices.
Our work spans from fundamental science to application: we model ultrafast and attosecond phenomena, apply deep learning to photonics problems, fabricate plasmonic nanostructures with engineered optical properties, and develop high-sensitivity sensing platforms. We work closely with experimental and theoretical groups across Europe, at the crossroads of physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering.
