Our colleague Ana Maria M. Gherman attended the NanoLight 2026 conference, aiming to explore frontiers in the field of subwavelength optics. She presented her results on Photonic properties of tantalum pentoxide- coated microsphere lattices as metasurface platforms for enhanced fluorescence.

Our colleague Ioana Cârdan attended the Microplastic Days conference, presenting her results on SERS detection of environmental nanoplastics by using customized plasmonic nanostructured substrates.

Last week, our colleague Alexandra Falamas participated in the Advances in 3OM and Photonics Technologies Conference, Timisoara (https://lnkd.in/exN7-SHj), a meeting bringing together researchers in optics, optomechanics, and micro/nano-engineering. She contributed with a presentation titled Tuning Light with Nanostructures: Ultrafast Dynamics and Enhanced Fluorescence.
