Isotopic, Elemental and Molecular Fingerprinting – Team leader: Dr. Alina Măgdaş

The main research topics approached by the members of the team are: i) fingerprinting of food, drinks and other natural products (e.g. essential oils) in order to certificate their authenticity and quality; ii) identification and quantification of classical and emerging pollutants from food and environmental matrices; iii) valorisation of natural resources by identifying their quality and specificities, and iv) quality testing of cosmetic products (from raw materials to final product).

Complex Molecular and Biomolecular Systems research team is developing its own RD&I topics and, through collaboration with other groups, provides support for the synthesis / characterization of systems / materials of interest in areas like: health, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries, advanced materials, biotechnology, structural biology, biomimetics.

The Laser Induced Phenomena research group develops theoretical and experimental research related to physico-chemical processes induced by coherent electromagnetic radiation in interaction with atomic, molecular and biological systems.
