The designation of INCDTIM Cluj-Napoca as the host of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Week Conference represents a recognition of the valuable contributions made by the INCDTIM ATLAS group over the course of its 30 years of activity within the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC, CERN, Geneva…
INCDTIM will host the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter Week from 28 September to 2 October 2026, a scientific event of major importance for the international High Energy Physics community. The meeting will take place in the Main Conference Hall of INCDTIM and will bring together physicists and engineers from 17 countries involved in the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), CERN Geneva, one of the most important scientific endeavors in the field of particle physics worldwide.
The event will provide a framework for the presentation and discussion of the latest research and development directions related to the TileCal hadronic calorimeter. These will include experimental models for future detector concepts within the Future Circular Collider (FCC) program, results obtained in dedicated test beam campaigns, as well as progress achieved in the upgrade project of the ATLAS TileCal hadronic calorimeter.
The agenda will also address topics of strategic relevance to the collaboration, including data preparation and analysis, detector performance evaluation, hardware and operational aspects, as well as the coordination of scientific and institutional activities within the ATLAS TileCal Collaboration.
